Our History

1965
Cotemp, Inc. was founded by Charles Cunningham Jr. in June of 1965 as a comercial H.V.A.C. contractor serving the Houston and greater Harris county area performing H.V.A.C. comercial and residential service and installations.

1967
Cotemp, Inc. expands into comercial service and installation of the petrochemical industry serving such clients as the as Goodyear Chemical, Warren Petroleum, Oxirane Chemical, Diamond Shamrock, Exxon, and American Thermoplastics.

1975
Cotemp celebrates 10th year in business.

1976
Cotemp expands by founding our sheetmetal division and begins fabrication of sheetmetal ductwork for our construction and service customers.

1979 
Cotemp welcomes Charlie Cunningham to the management team and completes our first project on foreign soil for Oxidental of Peru consisting of Oilfield living quarters in the jungles of Peru in South America.

1982
Cotemp welcomes Joe Cunningham to the management team.

1983
Cotemp relocates corporate headquarters to the current facilty at 3345 Pinemont in Houston, Texas and expands services to include Comercial service of low temperature, medium temperature, refrigeration systems and ice machines for the restaurant industry for customers such as Bennigans, Chillis, Olive Garden, Allen Park Inn and more.

1985
Cotemp celebrates 20th year in business and gains state-wide Texas licensing.

1985
Cotemp expands into comercial service and constuction of hospitals such as Twelve Oaks, Park Plaza, Fort Bend Community hospital, Parkway Hospital, Bellaire Hospital, Sharpstown Hospital, Clear Lake Hospital, Houston Northwest Medical Center, Alvin Hospital, and the Aids Institute.

1990
Cotemp expands services and construction departments into the plastics industry installing process refrigeration such as chillers, weld piping, screw piping, copper piping and pvc piping, hydraulic piping, process tanks, pumps, cooling towers, exhaust systems, controls and ductwork for customers such as Starko Inc. and Monticello Arkansas.

1992
Cotemp expands service and construction into the oilfield service industry by serving such customers as Baker hughes, Varco, Tuboscope, Western Atlas, Sheaffer and Smith International.

1995
Cotemp celebrates 30th year in business.

2005
Cotemp celebrates 40th year in business as well as expands into the Installation and service of Air-Rotation systems for large machine shops, warehouses and comercial and industrial facilities such as Smith International, Spx, Godwin and more.

2021
Cotemp celebrates 56th year in business.
